Meet Children’s Book Author, Ken Rohlf
Meet Ken Rohlf
Ken came to children's picture books from a deeply personal place. After losing his wife, Sherri, he set out to write a book that would keep her memory alive for his first grandchild. That book, Christmas Sun: A Beautiful Tradition to Remember Grandma, became both an award winner and a bestseller, finding its way into the hearts of families everywhere who have loved and lost someone dear.
His second book, For You, I Hope, continued his tradition of writing with emotional honesty and quiet wisdom. This award winning and best-selling effort offers words of encouragement and possibility to children, young and old.
Now, with Best Friends: A Tale of a Boy and His Dog, Ken delivers his most tender story yet, a celebration of the unbreakable bond that develops between a child and his dog. Its words and heartwarming illustrations capture the kind of unconditional love that stays with us long after childhood ends.
A father of two and a proud grandfather, Ken lives in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, where he enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, and quiet days at the cabin.
A portion of the proceeds from each of Ken's books is donated to Sherri's Books, an organization named in honor of his wife that is dedicated to promoting children's literacy.
